Ingredients

Blondie Base

  • Butter: 1 cup 226g, melted and slightly cooled
  • Brown Sugar: 1 cup 200g, packed
  • Granulated Sugar: ½ cup 100g
  • Eggs: 2 large
  • Vanilla Extract: 2 tsp
  • All-Purpose Flour: 2 cups 250g
  • Baking Powder: 1 tsp
  • Salt: ½ tsp

Add-Ins & Toppings

  • Dairy Milk Chocolate Chunks: 1 cup roughly chopped or use chocolate chips
  • Caramel Chips: ½ cup optional, for extra caramel flavor
  • Caramel Sauce: ½ cup for swirling

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Pan and Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease and line a 9x13-inch (23x33 cm) baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.

Step 2: Mix the Wet Ingredients

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract.

Step 3: Combine the Dry Ingredients

  • In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Avoid overmixing.

Step 4: Add the Mix-ins

  • Gently fold in the Dairy Milk chocolate chunks and caramel chips, ensuring they’re evenly distributed.

Step 5: Layer and Swirl

  • Spread half of the blondie batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  • Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the batter and gently swirl with a knife or skewer.
  • Add the remaining blondie batter on top, spreading it evenly. Drizzle the remaining caramel sauce and swirl again.

Step 6: Bake

  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the edges are set and golden, and the center is still slightly soft.
  • A toothpick inserted into the center should come out with a few moist crumbs for a fudgy texture.

Step 7: Cool and Slice

  • Allow the blondies to cool completely in the pan.
  • Once cooled, use the parchment overhang to lift them out. Slice into squares and enjoy!
