Ingredients
  

  • 1 pre-baked 9-inch pie crust
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate melted
  • Food coloring pink, blue, yellow
  • 1/2 cup candied pecans for garnish
  • Whipped cream for serving

Instructions
 

Prepare filling base:

  • Whisk milk, sugar, and cornstarch in a saucepan
  • Heat until bubbling and thickened
  • Temper egg yolks and add to mixture
  • Cook until very thick
  • Stir in vanilla extract

Create swirls:

  • Divide filling into 4 portions
  • Leave one vanilla
  • Add melted chocolate to one
  • Color remaining portions with food coloring
  • Layer into crust
  • Swirl with skewer

Set and serve:

  • Chill for 3 hours
  • Top with candied pecans
  • Serve with whipped cream

Notes

Use gel food coloring for best results
Chill overnight for cleanest slices
