Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chuck roast or round steak cut into chunks
  • 4 russet potatoes cut into chunks
  • 1 yellow onion sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 tbsp butter melted

Seasonings

  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper to taste

Toppings

  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar preferred
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 4 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 2 green onions chopped

Instructions
 

  • Optional: Sear the steak chunks in a hot pan for extra flavor before adding them to the slow cooker.
  • Place the potato chunks at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Layer the steak chunks on top, followed by the sliced onions and minced garlic.
  • Pour in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and melted butter.
  • Sprinkle with dried rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours, until the steak is tender.
  • About 15 minutes before serving, sprinkle shredded cheese over the dish and let it melt.
  • Top with crumbled bacon, sour cream, and chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a splash of red wine to the broth. You can also swap out russet potatoes for Yukon Gold for a creamier texture.
