Instructions
Optional: Sear the steak chunks in a hot pan for extra flavor before adding them to the slow cooker.
Place the potato chunks at the bottom of the slow cooker.
Layer the steak chunks on top, followed by the sliced onions and minced garlic.
Pour in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and melted butter.
Sprinkle with dried rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper.
Cover and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours, until the steak is tender.
About 15 minutes before serving, sprinkle shredded cheese over the dish and let it melt.
Top with crumbled bacon, sour cream, and chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a splash of red wine to the broth. You can also swap out russet potatoes for Yukon Gold for a creamier texture.
