Description

This simple and flavorful roasted cabbage steak recipe proves that cabbage can be just as satisfying as meat. Thick slices of cabbage are seasoned with spices and roasted to perfection, creating crispy edges and a tender, caramelized center. Ingredients

1 large green cabbage

3 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp garlic powder

½ tsp onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Cabbage
Remove the outer leaves of the cabbage and slice it into 1-inch-thick rounds. Be careful to keep the core intact to hold the slices together.

Season the Steaks
Lay the cabbage slices on the prepared baking sheet. Brush both sides with olive oil. In a small bowl, mix smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle the spice mixture generously over the cabbage.

Roast
Place the baking sheet in the oven and roast for 25–30 minutes, flipping the cabbage steaks halfway through, until the edges are golden and crispy.

Serve
Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot as a main course or a hearty side.
